    The website of critic Jonathan Rosenbaum contains an archive of reviews published in the Chicago Reader between 1987 and 2007 as well as reviews and articles for other journals and publications. There is one featured text per week as well as a regularly updated blog.

    Published since 1978 by the Millenium Film Workshop, the Millenium Film Journal focuses on avant-garde cinema and practice, and covers a range of moving image technologies. The journal's website fully indexes past issues by both author and filmmaker. All issues are available for back order, and almost all articles after 1992 are available in full for free.

  • Offscreen  
    This Canadian journal features interviews, festival coverage, and essays on directors, Asian cinema, European cinema, documentaries and other topics. Offscreen and its French language sister journal Hors Champ have been online since 1997.
  • P.O.V.   Peer Reviewed
    P.O.V. is a peer-reviewed online journal published biannually. The articles in each issue reflect a common theme, and recent issues have covered Danish television, the western, and short fiction films.
  • PFA Cinefiles  
    The Pacific Film Archive conducts primary source research for the films it shows and has posted the results of that research. The database includes reviews, press kits, festival and showcase program notes, newspaper articles, and more, covering more than 30,000 films. Materials that are not copyright-protected are available (usually as .GIF or .JPG files) for download.
